In 1989, Paul Brittain teamed up with several trading professionals to develop the “Holy Grail” of trading systems, the team of traders was made up of experienced floor traders from New York who had been extremely successful trading their various markets but needed a method to trade the markets that existed outside their trading pits.

This is a proprietary trading method using Track 'n Trade Pro. If you’d like to learn to trade the Beast we will teach you how we do it. Track 'n Trade allows you to “practice in the past so you can trade in the present.”

The Beast is a trend trading method developed in the late ‘80s as the answer to all of the “black box” systems of the time. Computerization of the industry, led to a plethora of electronic trading systems that claimed to be the “holy grail.” As we all now know, successful trading cannot be canned. Along with technical indicators, a trading method must be able to adjust to market conditions. Thus, we believe that when systems fail, methods prevail.

In nature, the Beast tends to be slow to get into a market and slow to get out. The purpose of this trading strategy isn’t to catch the ups and downs of the markets, but to ride the enormous winners. Thus, the stop loss orders tend to be deep making the risk on any one particular trade to be great. This prevents the method from being stopped out on the small correction. When market conditions are favorable to trend traders, we believe that the Beast to be a great way to be exposed to the markets.

This is a proprietary swing trading method using Track 'n Trade Pro. If you’d like to learn to trade the Big MacDaddy we will teach you how we do it. Track 'n Trade allows you to “practice in the past to so you can trade in the present.”

The Big MacDaddy is a swing trading method designed to exploit both trending markets and retracement periods. Retracement occurs as a result of market participants overshooting the fair value of a commodity in overzealous buying or selling. Speculators tend to “jump on the bandwagon” late in a market move pushing prices to unsustainable levels. The market will then retract to more reasonable prices. The Mac Daddy trades without bias, and will look to reverse a position shortly following a trend reversal signal.

The Big MacDaddy doesn’t attempt to predict the duration of a trend, it is intended to identify the direction of the market and trigger an entry at a technically reasonable price. For example a long position would be executed following a down trending market at a point in which the method indicators deem to be a possible reversal point. Similarly, a short position would be executed following an uptrend at a point in which the system identifies as a possible reversal point. The vital assumption is that all upward price action must eventually be followed by a downtrend and all downtrends are inevitably followed by an upturn.
